Overview
jumoca builds software for tax firms, auditors and companies in the financial industry. The focus is on DATEV connections, add-ins for Microsoft Office and custom web applications.
Alongside that comes consulting: examining processes, valuing IT and software, reviewing existing code.
The business is based in the Heidelberg area. Development happens remotely because the projects are remote — on-site work happens anywhere in Germany when a project calls for it.

Questions
What does a project cost?
Either time and materials or a fixed price per stage, depending on how clear the scope is. Projects typically start in the mid four figures. Every quote is preceded by a free conversation in which the scope gets cut back as far as it will go. Concept work and process consulting are not billed separately.
How long does a project take?
A landing page runs two to four weeks, an Office add-in six to twelve, a platform well beyond that. A first usable version always arrives early — you should be working in the system before it is finished.
What does a DATEV integration actually involve?
A connection to DATEV systems, usually through the DATEV Cloud Gateway or defined exports. Typical cases: pulling in client master data automatically, routing requests to the right person, capturing tasks straight from Outlook — without anyone maintaining the same data twice.
Do you work remotely or on site?
Development happens remotely because the projects are remote. For workshops, rollouts or kickoffs I come on site anywhere in Germany — the business sits in the Heidelberg area, but distance does not decide whether we work together.
Who do you work with?
Mainly tax firms, auditors and companies in the financial industry — that is where the workflows I know best live. If the problem fits, I work outside the sector too.

The advice is holistic: if your problem needs no software at all, or something on the market already solves it, that is what the answer says — even when no project comes out of it.
